An international ambition
For several years, the insurance landscape has been marked by the emergence of insurtechs. These new players, borrowing from a strong requirement in terms of customer experience, are accelerating a fundamental trend, that of seeing insurance no longer just offering guarantees but a real service, centered on the user and his support in the difficult moments.
In 2019, Ticketmate and Mimat, insurtechs specializing in cancellation insurance for entertainment and travel, gave themselves a mission: to create a service allowing everyone to continue to punctuate their life with projects and activities that do good. Today, with many national and international references, they join forces by creating Meetch,
and set out to conquer European markets.
In a context marked by multiple crises, Meetch’s ambition is also to position cancellation insurance as an essential product for the general public, on the same level as Health, Home or Auto. And thus join the big names of the French tech scene, such as Alan or Luko.
A unique technology platform
Meetch sees in-vehicle insurance as the future of insurance. Perfectly positioned in the booking tunnels of its partners, Meetch provides unequaled and 100% digital subscription comfort. Its connection via APIs with the main ticketing software for shows and tourist stays guarantees simplicity and immediacy in the act of purchase.
Meetch considers that the transparency of its service must be at the heart of the relationship of trust established with its partners. The Meetch Manager, a back-office platform dedicated to its partners, allows its partners to follow the management of their clients’ reimbursements in real time and ensures direct exchanges with the Meetch teams.
Disappointment is present every time a project, a show or a trip has to be cancelled. Its primary mission is therefore to support its policyholders quickly and efficiently. This is why Meetch is contractually committed to first response times in less than 12 hours and reimbursement in less than 48 hours.
The milestone of 5 million insured
Meetch accelerates the work and business development carried out over the past 3 years by the Ticketmate and Mimat teams. This merger consolidates strategic partnerships in the ticketing and travel sectors and creates an experienced team to facilitate its development in European markets. Meetch thus intends to become the European leader in cancellation in the travel, show ticketing and transport markets by 2023.
If the milestone of one million policyholders was crossed in 2021 by Ticketmate and Mimat, Meetch projects from 2023 to cover more than 2 million people per year, and to reach the objective of 5 million by 2025.
