It’s been a week since the summer transfer market opened its doors. These early days were eventful with the signings of Aurélien Tchouaméni from Real Madrid and Darwin Núñez from Liverpool. Several cases are also starting to pick up speed. We take stock of the news for this Friday, June 17.
Yves Bissouma chooses Tottenham
Announced close to several big clubs last summer (Arsenal, Manchester United), Yves Bissouma officially joined Tottenham. The Malian has signed a contract
long duration. Spurs paid around 30 million euros to acquire the former Lille player. He is the third signing for Spurs following the signings of goalkeeper Fraser Forster and Croatian Ivan Perisic.
Mané at Bayern, it would be done
It had been in the air for several days, there is now no room for doubt: Sadio Mané will join Bayern Munich. The Bavarian club has reached an agreement with Liverpool for the transfer of its Senegalese striker, who had only one year left on his contract with the Reds.
According to several journalists including the renowned David Ornstein (The Athletic), the 30-year-old player will sign for 3 years with Bayern. He will be the German champions’ third signing after the signings of Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui from Ajax.
Contact between Lenglet and OM?
In lack of playing time at FC Barcelona, Clément Lenglet could decide to try his luck elsewhere. And why not in Ligue 1, on the side of Olympique de Marseille as indicated by the Spanish media Sport. At this point, the most viable option would be to arrange a loan without a mandatory purchase option.
The former Nancy knows Jorge Sampaoli perfectly since he was under his orders on the Sevilla side and could revive him with a view to the World Cup in Qatar…
Levandowski wants to leave
One year from the end of his contract with Bayern Munich, Robert Lewandowski does not hide his desire to leave. He repeated it again on Friday in an interview with the German newspaper Picture.
I asked the club for the green light for a transfer. I think in the current situation this is the best solution, especially since the club can still receive money. I don’t want to force anything. It’s about looking for the best solution. You have to cool the emotions, I want to speak calmly and not through the media.
Arsenal offers itself a Portuguese nugget
FC Porto and Arsenal have reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Portuguese midfielder Fabio Vieira for 35 million euros, the Portuguese team announced on Friday.
This transfer could possibly amount to 40 million euros depending on the achievement of certain sporting objectives. According to several media, the young attacking midfielder of 22 years would commit for five years with the London club.
Pure product of the Dragons training center, Fabio Vieira has scored seven goals and delivered 16 assists this season.
